  1. You are doing the right thing by avoiding Green & Black. Who cares about Mad Cow, you are standing up for your own morals and that commendable. I try my best to avoid any products that touch animal products or are produced near animal products myself. Are vegan companies struggling so much that they have to share equipment with others?
  2. I agree that Veganessentials is always very well spoken I think that dogs can thrive on a Vegan diet, but I'm not sure its healthy for cats. But I am interested in seeing more research. Definitely healthier than the only other alternatives in today's society. My cats are thriving on vegan diets. I see and hear about numerous other cats and dogs being euthanized at young ages...due to the food we feed them.[/b] This is an interesting claim, that I have never heard about. Were the dogs and cats strays, or victimized, abandoned, under fed or did they live relatively normal lives? The only reason I ask is because when that vegan baby died from malnourishment in Georgia or where ever that was, people assumed it was the diet, whereas the parents were just a bit crazy. I'm 100% in agreement that animals can and do thrive off vegan diets, but dying younger on meat based diets?? Do you have any sources to back that up
  3. When you say Herbs are you referring to capsules and over the counter stuff or freshly picked herbs in their natural state. I can go on record by saying freshly picked herbs boiled and combined in the right combination are the best possible thing you can put in your body ahead of water, fruits and vegetables. Colon cleansing's are great for overweight people and I dont even know how anybody can say herbs have any negative impact. Have you ever met Dr. Weil? I saw him at a talk, and he was overweight by a good 40-50lbs, has a semi-negative egotistical attitude, and never answered people's questions with a straight answer. His books have very useful information, but it hard for me to consider him a valid resource of anything regardless of his education.
  4. I've had colon hydrotherapy..it worked pretty well.
  5. Any suggestions on training for chest? I am currently doing pretty simple chest workouts, would love to raise it up a notch!
  6. This doesnt have anything to do with veganism or bodybuilding, but I thought it was really funny. For anyone that watches project runway Im sure you will agree... http://youtube.com/watch?v=upVwAqCM7fg Enjoy!
  7. I always eat flax and nuts in the morning. Flax goes great in cold cereal or cold oatmeal, cant even taste it. Nuts go great in soy yogurt or oatmeal. If i miss my flax in the morning, I usually put it in a salad, but if my salad has too much going on..i just stir it into a juice. Some people even put flax in water and drink it like that, but I find it ing. Nuts go great in stir-fry, or pasta dishes as well.
  8. Oh, i completely agree I have a SUPER BORING diet compared to most people. All im saying is a little kale or chard, maybe some melons, grapes, mangoes..wouldnt hurt anybody.
  9. That's how I feel too. I would have put Bananas instead of Strawberries if I had remembered lol. Take away all nutritional , health & physical value of Bananas....you still prefer them OVER strawberries.....get outttttta herrrre.
  10. Hey, Im lovin the name! Your plan looks great, but your diet looks boring. If it works to you, props, its a good diet to begin with. I'd highly reccomend a little more variety in fruits and veggies. Hope to see you around the forum!
  11. Any tips on cutting a pineapple, i totally suck at it. I'd really like to be able to get cubed peices, but something always SLIPS or POKES. Really frusterating!
  12. But WHAT IF, those bears eating fish, are just mimicking generations of bears before them with no clue why they are doing it besides the fact that they like the taste of fish, or its easy. I know animals arent equiped with the same brains as us, so its easy for us to think whatever an animal does is pure instinct. I dont even know if humans should be vegan, so I dont think I can ever convince you that animals should be either, but it works for animals!
  13. WHAT?? this statement is so out of bounds. you are imposing a meat diet on your dog as much as he is imposing a vegan one on his. if anyone you are in lack of ethical responsibility. Dogs are just domesticated wolves (oversimplification but you get the point), Wolves thrive on hunting other animals for MEAT. Now if certain industry practices dont let you sleep at night, change to an organic or freerange dog/cat food company, whatever suits you. BUT where do you draw the line, are you gonna veganize lions, tigers and bears(ohh my)? Dont mess with natural processes. Veganizing a dog or cat is just as bad as their domestication thousands of years ago, Its not natural. Then again because of their domestication maybe its not such a necessity b/c of their much less active and less demanding lives. either way the human interference with natural processes is not necessarly correct even when backed by the best intentions A majority of people say its natural for humans to eat meat too. What makes it natural for animals to eat meat? Could it be possible that animals, like humans, strayed from original plant eating diets due to climactic change, extinction, starvation, etc? I do believe there are a FEW animals that do well on a carnivorous diet, but nobody really knows what "natural" is? Could this particular interference, of a vegan diet, be greatly beneficial for them?
  14. Certain animals thrive on vegan diets, and I've witnessed it first hand. A well maintained vegan dog reaps the same benefits as humans. I believe he "saved" his pets, and is giving them a wonderful life. How can you possibly believe spreading something so wonderful is wrong, forcefully or not? Its not like its communism, or religion, etc.. Veganism, combined with right training, and support is the ONLY way to have a completely pure mind, humans and animals. With a cluttered/sludged mind we make stupid decisions in life, and that applies to dogs too. I guarantee vegan dogs get in less fights and are less routy than meat eating dogs. To each his own, when it only affects themselves, but when it can affect the world it doesnt apply.
  15. Are compound exercises ones that target alot of different muscles? Do you believe you can cut WITHOUT decreasing calories, but instead increasing cardio to a MORE INTENSE LEVEL?
  16. Hi Allison! Welcome to the club. You're gonna do absolutely wonderful here. I've lost 22lbs in 2 months, working out 5 days a week as a vegetarian and getting even better results now as a vegan. Sounds like you're on the right track and I wish you the best of luck!
  17. Just by seeing the definition in your throat, I think you are gonna some awesome gains and shock alot of us! Best of luck!
  18. Pics look great, and I also believe in muscle memory. I've seen many friends go through what you are, but they were never EVER as ripped as you in those older pics. I'd be curious to know what happened to cause you to stop doing whatever you were doing before? (ex. burnout, family crisis, etc..)
  19. I wouldn't stress it. You have my support, that's the best I can do for ya. If you lived in nyc, i'd say you have outside support and i'd train with you but I suspect you don't live here. Don't worry, with the rapid pace your traveling at, when it is time to bronze out that complexion to accent what's up, you'll have all the support you need from the envious onlookers keep up the hard work.... Thanks soo much for the love, it means alot to me. What part of BK do you live in? My grandparents live near Brighton Beach.
