  1. Haha, I read through it quickly. well just in case: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple Bastard! Atleast I just learned that purple originally comes from the mucus-secretion of the hypobranchial gland of a marine snail.
  2. How dare you mock the all knowing, powerful realage.com!! Fish are good for you, DUHHHH
  3. Do you still have the article you sent Jessy? I dont incorporate Grapefruit enough into my diet, but would love to be convinced to.
  4. Yea, me too, but I've never had durian. Though I believe we all have "comfort" fruits. I just had a huge bowl of strawberries and bananas, and I cant stop singing and dancing!
  5. Hi Jaber, nice to meet you! You will have more luck posting your questions in the appropriate boards, it doesnt seem like many people read intro's.
  6. Its super easy for me... #1 Strawberries #2 Mangos #3 Peaches
  7. I agree, but who leaves the feet and nails intact like that! Atleast other animal products are just "mush"

  9. I know exactly what you mean. I used to overtrain myself bad, anytime I would be working out with a friend, trainer, or whoever they really push me too far sometimes. I didnt give my body time to recover, and quit many times due to my body being completely exhausted. It took some time to realize, but I am more successful at the slow and steady pace. Just the daily consistancy works for me, with occassional give-it-all you got days. The article was very re-assuring that I am already on a good routine.
  10. Haha, I read through it quickly.
  11. Any specific book in particular? Any book he has written is breathtaking, I use his work as a reference for many things, but I will have to say Spiritual Nutrition is the most comprehensive book on veganism for beginners and experts. It focus's on the whole lifestyle, not just nutrition. Some people may be thrown off by this book because the first few chapters are somewhat hard to follow if you are unfamiliar with Kundalini. This book really spoke to me due to its hollistic encompassing of the lifestyle.
  12. You love the goofiest songs! I'm not hating, its cool to see someone who has fun with workout music.
  13. Hi BodhiDave85, you are scaring me man! Can you really juice avacados? I've got to try this one. What happens to most of the avacado? does it turn to pulp or something? I'm going to try the hot sauce in the avacados as well! Also you mentioned veganiese, is this something like mayonnaise? I've got a pretty nice juicer, and it juices avacados. You dont get THAT much out of it, so I include plenty of other things. Yes veganiese is probably the best vegan mayo on the market in my opinion. I believe it won an award last year to back me up.
  14. I can attest to hill training!! Hill training can be very depressing and will break any runner's confidence but its great training. I've been running exclusively on hills for last 2 months, and I slug through the last half at .000001 mph. For a while I felt weak and unsure about my ability to run long distance. I just recently timed myself on an even surface track and increased my 5 mile time by 8 minutes, to 42 minutes total.
  15. Calendar Age 22.8 My RealAge 15.6 I've had a priveledged life
  16. Sounds interesting, I will look for it, whats "purple"
  17. USDA Recalls 143M Pounds Of California Beef http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=4226712&cl=6486246&src=news I am always really saddened by recalls, on one hand many people will be less likely to be infected by any serious disease but on the other hand so many animals were killed and now just being throw away.
  18. A meditation session before a workout or run has helped me suceed far and beyond my wildest expectations. After a good meditation, chanting, or whatever works to clear your mind I am so "high" and infinetely joyful regardless of how shitty of a day I might be having. Clearing my mind before these challenging activites allows me to dig deeper into my motivation/drive and I never have a problem pushing myself. When you have an empty mind you cultivate a childlike enthusiasm and it takes longer for your ego to convince you are anything but amazing. If anything I need to learn my cut off point better, so I dont overwork. *Note: I benched(well maxed) my weight, first time in my life, yesterday after a 30 minute meditation session.
  19. Blending an avacado would probably make your drink very mushy, I reccommend juicing it. Yes, you can juice an avacado! I tend to just make guacamole. 4-6 avacadoes, blend in food processor, or hand mash well add a few drops of hot sauce, tsp of veganiese, 2tsp lemon juice add chopped red onion, and dice 2 plum tomatoes I put this stuff on Ezekiel Bread almost every day.
  20. Why arent vegan/vegetarian caps an option for you? I strongly believe that every animal and animal by- product for human consumption brings the pain of death into our bodies. The violence involved in the whole process of killing an animal is transferred to our bodies. Although, this is a more spiritual, there is also some scientific proof of this assumption. I dont see the difference between eating a steak and consuming gelatin. If money is the issue, i completely understand, but personally I just wouldnt take any capsules if money was an issue and supplement it all through foods.
  21. How do bungee cords work when running?
  22. Thats alot of supplements, can you explain the purpose of that many?
  23. Hi Duke ! Bananas, Avacodoes, Walnuts, Soy Yogurt, Tempeh, Hemp Milk, Almond Butter are some easy ways of getting more fats into your diet. Good Luck on your journey & feel free to ask any questions in the forum you may have.
