Haven't posted in forever because i've been busy with working out, intramural tennis and soccer, and taking computer classes, but just checking it for another month of grinding some gains out - Never was able to get 75lb dumbbells up without them falling on my face, and did 75x4 flat dumbbell press today so i figured it was time to post! Hi there! Hi everybody. I started to type my background but it started to look like a biography. So, I deleted all that and I'm going to give you the short version. I've been working out at the gym for several years. I struggle to gain muscle mass and I think I'm a little too fat. I know how to lose the fat (I can do it in no-time, believe me), but I can't seem to bulk up my muscles. Taken July 30, about 7 weeks since I incorporated weight training into my cardio schedule, and a gain of 6 pounds. My camera died several times while taking these, and the lighting kinda sucks...plus I discovered how hard it is to hold a camera and take a picture of different body parts! I wish I had taken true 'before' shots, as the 6 pounds are definitely noticeable on such a tiny frame. So...my first fitness goal was to get down to my wedding weight, which I've accomplished by taking up running. Then I started to amp up my lifting and toning exercises. I'm starting to see a difference, which is nice, but not quite the definition that I'd like to see eventually. I'd like to get more biceps going, and feel like I'm doing bicep curls up the wazoo but not with dramatic results. Wondering if there's anything else I should be doing to gain definition without bulking up too, too much?

I'm almost 40 now. I was up north visiting my friend who I hadn't seen in a long time. She said something like, "Oh, cute, you have a belly now." I looked down, and I did have a small belly. Hello, I am currently at month 4 of my vegan diet and at month 9 of my training program. Gluten-free Vegan Diet. My weight has increased from 140 to 145. I'm hoping to get into the 150's by summer. First pic was March 21st, Second pic was taken May 4th, yesterday. So a little more than 6 weeks progress. I have gained 1 inch of muscle mass in my biceps. I lost 5 inches total in my hips, the love handle area. Love handles should be completely gone in a few weeks. I also lost 2 inches of fat in my thighs, measuring at the biggest part of my thigh. I finally have some muscle definition in my arms, thighs, calves, and abs! I'm one very happy mama!
