  1. Yeah I didn't put down maca, millet or spirulina even though I eat a ton of them. Only cuz the topic title was...'favorite'. I've got trouble choking those down sometimes.
  2. YB!! I'll definitely be increasing my calf workout come TUE.
  3. Yeah, a cold opportunity to bond with him.
  4. @lobsteriffic Thank you. Even though I currently don't have a set goal, I feel as though I am accomplishing goals every time I eat right and step into the gym. This morning is mini cookfest. I've got barley and dill boiling on the stove that will get a splash of lemon juice when it's done. Then I'll toss together some garbanzo beans, okra and a vinegar based hot sauce here in a bit. After all that's done I'm gonna swing by and grab uncle for a jog at the park. He told me last night that he's been on the treadmill everyday for a few months now and wants to go walking/jogging. We might have to go get him some sweats, as 41F (morning lows) and 73F (daily highs) is just too cold for his Hawaiian blood.

  6. If a woman expects me to lose myself in her, then she's not the woman for me. I'm not gonna neglect myself or my well being and I would expect her to respect that and follow suit. A healthy me = A healthy us.
  7. I'm not sure if he wants to go, but every chance I get I'm gonna announce that I'm heading into the gym or plan on heading into the gym the next day. Basically see if he asks to come along. I realize he's on vacation and don't want him to feel like he's gotta show up some young man. Yes! No mo' time fo' excuses. Everyday counts. If I have time to make up an excuse I've got time to head my ass into the gym. It's only 2 hours max out of a 24 hour day. Every meal counts and if I want to eat I better of worked out. I've been lazy and neglectful of my health for way way too many years. I've made this commitment and will HONOR it with every spoonful, every bite, every gulp, every lift, every press, every curl, every crunch, every squeeze!!! YEEEEAH BUDDDDDY ...now I need to use that energy to find me a good woman *wink*
  8. Just got back from a bi/tri session. For some reason I was able to go heavier than normal on bis, but really didn't feel like I did enough on tris. I wasn't going super heavy, but enough to be fatigued. A solid 1h15m spent. Uncle's in town, so gonna hang out with him and mom majority of this week and still follow my diet. I'll make sure to have my blue tote in tow.
  9. Welcome to the community.
  10. Welcome. Do take the time to look through some of the meal plans here on the forum. You'll see alot of different vegan diets will afford you to bulk or cut.

  12. Totally understandable "Manny Fresh". Keep at it. Stick with it. Do your thing. Remember you got people routing for your success!
  13. Work dem sexy calves chica! What you might think of doing on the rotary is going heavy and explode the stack with partial contractions then take the weight down to where you can get a full contraction done with pristine form. Then work on slow and control with a bottom squeeze and a full stretch and the top end. Focus on getting that pump and burn. YB!!!
  14. "It's the First of the Month!" --Bone...yeah you know the rest! Rick Ross' new LP got me mo-mo-motivated on the gym floor. I was working hard as well as chuckin' and jivin' all throughout the routine. Started off with shrugs dumbs and totally went nutz, then went delt lateral work, then back to shrugs bar then overhead delt work. Very good day...loving life! Tomorrow AM gonna pick up my uncle from the airport. He's visiting from HI and it's his first trip to AK. I am suppose to get in a bi/tri workout tomorrow AM and gonna see if I can pull it off. He's in at 5:30a and I should be at the gym 9:30a-ish. So gonna make the gym visit a priority.
  15. @Johnny *shaka* Today was utter brutality when it came to back. Hit lower back, upper back and rear delts. Was at the gym for a little over 1h15m. Nothing special to note with the exception that right at the end of my routine when I was doing hyper-extensions with dumbs some dumb ass rolls up on me during my breather and walks awfully close between the gym equipment and I. It was obviously an act of aggression in my book and if we were on the street I would of put him in his place, but for some reason I didn't give a F***. Cuz he was some young punk in his little muscle shirt doing nothing but walking around racking weight that he never did anything with. Tomorrow will be my off day with perhaps some jogging/sprinting if I get a bug up my ass.
  16. La-la-LEGS and la-la-LOVIN' it! Went into the gym and murdered legs. I'm talking serial murderer! Be afraid. Be very afraid. Hit them hard and heavy with basically the calves, quads, hams formula. Did two different variations in two different circuits then polished off the morning with hack squats. I have no idea how much I am actually squatting since the sled feels like a flea on my back. I was only going to do deep single plates on each side, but I didn't feel anything in my quads or gluts. I upped it on set two to four plates total, then another increase to 8 plates total. When I got to the 8 plate mark I was basically hitting 2 rep sets. I felt like a beast, I tell you. All in all I did something like 8x1 (45x2), then 8x1 (45x4), then 2x3 (45x8). Then after about 5 mins of stretching I walked out and the old school gym manager guy was like...nice work at the gym Mr. (last name). That made my day.
  17. Had a rather nice jog/sprint for a little under an hour. On the way back bought some ingredients for next week's cookfest and figured I'd share with everyone, especially the little dish I tossed together here for my 3:30p meal. azuki, straw and abalone mushrooms baby bok choy, abalone mushrooms and pickled ginger. Quickly sauteed in sesame oil.
  18. @vivalasvegans *wink* Yesterday I was a total bum which isn't that unusual for a SUN, but I went to bed thinking...I deserve to take a day off at the gym tomorrow. I was rearing to continue being a bum. Then I wake up this morning and like clockwork, I jump outta bed eat dem oats and start cleaning the kitchen and making tea for the week. Next thing you know I'm in gym clothes excited about hitting chest. Nothing out of the ordinary to report about this morning's gym experience other than I felt exceptionally strong. As for later today, the weather is looking nice so I'll most likely be out there jogging. Last evening it was over 50F so when it hits that I'll go jogging in a tank top...*sexy* and if I find a lost kitty along the way...
  19. I think that is one of the reasons why I like the new gym I'm at. I'm no longer the only guy lifting heavy weight. So I don't get the odd looks or the oohs and ahhs. Anyway, who cares what the other folks are doing. You know you're making improvements.
  20. Glad to see you found VBBF, DAX. And you know what they say...better late than never.
  21. Welcome Samuel...I'm also a lengthy post writer... so write on!
