  1. Wow these have been really interesting to read. In all likelihood I'm gonna die in Jersey. all my family is here, as well as friends. Haha but Ryan, Milwaukee is my least favorite response! I think the weather would depress the shit out of me! I like the idea of Austin, Portland, Cali, the most...but its good to hear about some many cities going in the right direction
  2. Haha an ass-load of sodium doesn't fit anybody's macros! I just went to check and by end of day i'll be at 2900 cals which is good but the sodium is ridiculous! But I do have really good blood pressure (tested last month). I think today was particularly bad because of the can of progresso lentil soup I ate which packed in 880 mg of sodium. I'm happy with every other nutrient. I've even started drinking OJ and apple juice for more cals and energy. Some people might say 100 grams of sugar is a lot but whatever. And tomorrow is my birthday so pizza night is on (bringing my own daiya to our family's favorite Italian restaurant). Fat 57.7g 19.4% Saturated Fat 15.8g Cholesterol 0mg Sodium 4,649.2mg Carbohydrates 394.9g 59.1% Fiber 61.8g Sugars 103.6g Protein 143.9g 21.5%
  3. Welcome! So you're the youtube user who subscribed to me! Awesome haha. Can't wait to read your journal!
  4. Im intrigued that you do tricep with back.... I pair biceps with it and I couldn't imagine it otherwise....how do you find it? what are the benefits?
  5. I know how you feel about rest days....but I've been getting used to them. I push myself so hard that now I cant even imagine lifting today, as my back and arms are in total pain. I need my recovery days, but I'm lifting really heavy, with many of my sets to failure! When I was running I couldn't get enough of it, and it's a perfectly fine attitude to have! do you have goals of being in a BB contest? Is your city in Missouri very vegan friendly or do you have trouble? What do you mean when you say you wish you could get your diet right? I am a total vegan junk food addict (I have a bagel with tofittu every morning for breakfast and a chipotle burrito for dinner every night!) but I'm getting off the stuff on March 1 for at least 3 months so I can hopefully do a contest.
  6. Amazing change! I wish vegan junk food wasn't so yummy though.
  7. fat/protein/carbs? for macros right? Good job on the barbell rows! Supersets are a killer workout, but they may be taking away from how much you can actually lift as opposed to if each exercise is isolated and there is plenty of rest in between. Nevertheless you are still blasting your muscles!
  8. If you can provide proof that she's on it it would really do a lot. For my self esteem right. Now
  9. 3,000 calories. 170 protein 300 carbs 60 fat something like that.
  10. Hey! Thanks for commenting on my journal! I was pleasantly surprised when I went to read yours and learned that you are a woman so your comments mean a lot! Maybe we can help each other, I see that you struggle with upper body lifts while your squat numbers put me to shame! As far as my fluffiness goes it's OK for now, but it's unacceptable for an extended amount of time, and I am getting ready for an intense diet starting in March. Looking forward to following your progress!
  11. I have my eye on a contest June 9. It would be my first and I'd like to be in the BB category; I can't wear high heels to save my life. Currently 150 lbs, 5'4, age 27, female, and my training is logged under "Big Meech Gets Huge". Hopefully I have developed enough off season size to make this work, although I've only been lifting since August 2010, and my various approaches until very recently have included way too much cardio (addicted to running for a long time), too little protein/food in general, and what has been described to me as "overtraining", although throughout those months I've always recieved comments about my strength/size. I am mentally preparing for cutting but have a lot of questions about types of cardio I am supposed to do. I love to jog and could easily log ten miles a day but I've heard that that approach might not be ideal for bodybuilding, and that I should concentrate on stair climbers, ellipticals, bikes, and sprinting. I also have questions about macros, when to stop creatine, supplements in general, carb depletion/loading, and if I should do a 12-week or 16 week cut. Also right now as far as training goes I have a good four-day split but I'll need a new one developed starting in March. The plan for food is sweet potatoes, brown rice, tempeh, veggies, beans, tofu, post-workout shake, lots of water, coffee, green tea, no sodium, with carbs concentrated in the morning, and between 1700-1300 calories, tapered down. I've been eating about 2500-3000 calories daily right now with no cardio and my weight has been maintaining at around 150. I found posing classes for $25 bucks a pop. Any feedback would be appreciated! Robert, I need to go back into your book and re-read your cutting chapter, I'm sure that may answer some of my questions.
  12. I'm totally jealous that your DB's increment by 2.5 lbs. I'd probably be injury-free if that was the case for me!!
  13. Glad to hear it wasn't too bad of an injury! Of course Id ask you're my mentor! I ate a ton of eb myself.
  14. OMG how are you feeling now? I am so sorry that you had to experience that...I hope you are recovering..and had a nice tofurkey day!
  15. O weird they load on the phone but not computer. Nicely done
