I agree with this 100%. I don't advertize my vegan-ness, but I will discuss it when I feel like I have the opportunity to have a positive exchange about it. I will not bring it up if I think it will be a point of contention. I totally respect and appreciate those who will openly express and debate their vegan-ness, but that route is just not for me.

How hot is it? (isn't that the set up?) Seriously, though, how hot is it down there? I think it got to 100' in parts of Mass yesterday, but we're on the coast so I don't think we even got to 90' yesterday, and today's lower 80's and perfect.

Yeah, but they must be "bangin'" with all the biking you do (I took Kristy out on the local mt bike trails last week and that's what she said about my calves - "your calves are bangin'"). Anyway, you bike more than me, so your calves must be bangin'. Unless roadie calves don't bang as much (loudly?) as mt bike calves. I dunno. I'm confusing myself.

I dunno - tough call for Herb Dean. Ortiz landed that one big elbow that seemed to stun Sharmock - then several blows in a row that Shamrock didn't seem to be interested in blocking. After watching the replay, I was pretty stunned that Shamrock got up so quickly. He was taking a beating. So in hindsight, given Shamrock's reaction after it was stopped, it might have seemed like an early stoppage. But he appeared to be in a world of trouble. The Iceman-Wanderlai thing was pretty goofy. If I'm Babalu, I've got a REALLY BIG chip on my shoulder right now. I think Chuck made a mistake by taking a fight that depends on him winning his next fight (might be the Red Sox fan in me, but I think he jinxed himself).

Wow - this thread was a lot funnier than the title would have led me to believe. I'm also of 2 minds about this news. While it will hopefully save some animals ( ), there are a lot of people out there who think vegans and veggies are crackpots, and this won't help that image. So it could actually make it harder for veg to go more mainstream. In the end, tho, it probably matters about as much as she does.
