  1. Make it easy on yourself. NO Processed foods. Nothing that comes out of a package, jar or can. you do that and you'll lose weight without thinking or counting
  2. There's not much Science backing up any religion. Religion is based around theories not facts.
  3. And as far as training goes there's nothing unique, just heavy compond lifts. I don't like 5X5 or anything like that i just bust my ass and listen to my body. If i feel like i haven't trained hard enough then i do more. The main thing i've noticed through my years of training and being on every diet under the sun is that i can't make gains on low carb. There were times were i was getting 300 plus grams of so called high quality protein and good amount of calories yet not making gains. This was the same case on a Omni diet. I'm a carb guy not a fat guy.
  4. G'damn son! How the HELL did you manage that? 5x5 routine? Split? 80hrs a week in the gym? I've allways been able to gain strength/ size quickly. started lifting around 15 and at 17 was just about as strong as i am now, but then ran into health problems. Once i ran into the health problems i stopped lifting competely and also went on some very questionable diets where i lost all my size and strength. Just a year and a half ago i was down to 145 pounds and weak as could be. This mostly had to do with the diets i was doing and not the lack of training. I can take long periods of time off from lifting and don't lose much at all. Just started lifting hard again and eatting right in Early 08 and now am back to where i was. Luckly for me there's such thing as muscle memory.
  5. I think it's pretty simple answer why there's no good american HW's. If your a big strong athletic kid growing up in America your going to be playing Football, basketball and baseball. Boxing is a very tuff way to make a living as is MMA and only the best of the best are making soild money and gaining fame that comes from being a Pro athlete. You can be a Low Level NBA player and still make over a mil a year and not have to get hit in the face daily. Even though i like Boxing it's dying in America and MMA is growing at such a fast rate that soon it will be as big or bigger then boxing was in the 70's. Then you'll see americans at the top of the food chain of HW MMA
  6. I don't get it. you have a 630 pound squat at 165? 630 is the total of his three lifts OK that makes more sence. What do you guys think David Wolfes Big three are? And about the stronger p4p guys i doubt i'm the top but i'm pretty decent for my height(6') When in Shape i'm around 170 and my big three are a combined est. 1080. MY goal some day is hit 2000 total naturally. not sure if that's possible but i'd like to hit that.

  8. Bench: at least 315 maybe 325 Deadlift: 405 working hard on getting that up Squat: around 350 i'd guess, but i never max on squats
  9. I swear like 70 percent of my gym only does Bench with maybe a little ab work and some machine bi and tri work. I've been going for 1 year and besides my friend and i i've seen one person do a deadlift.
  10. I wish my military was near my Bench, then i'd be a monster. Military is a much more important exercise imo for show of overall upperbody strength. People all ask "what do you bench" as like the measuring stick for how strong someone is, but i think it's not that important of a exercise for sports/ real life strength compared to other things. I think everyone has genetics that make certain things either harder or easier then others, so one person might be better at Squats and another at deads or whatever the exercise. You can still build a massive bench with the right training. Focus on heavy compond free weight exercises mainly Bench and more so Incline Bench. you can add in other stuff like flys or cabble work, but nothing will ever beat free weights. Another thing i've noticed is that usally strong guys that built that through sports or manual laber allways have very strong shoulders relitive to there benching. I have a friend that did alot of farming and stuff like that and never totched weights and he could do 75 dumbells 10 times while his bench was only like 185 10 times.

I can't imgine someone maintaining that much lean mass under 2K for a long period of time.
  12. It's in every whole food there is, so i don't ever feel the need to supplement my diet with extra, kinda like i don't need a isolated Carb or Fat(Oil) supplement. Whole foods have a whole complex that i want and need. If i go buy a car i don't want parts, i want the whole car or none of it will work. There's was a time when i was the king of supplments, so i can see why people get into that whole thing. I used to take everything under the sun and then some. I'd say if you really want to supplement go with HEMP, RICE, PEA protein. I would never put Soy Isolate in my body(but that's just me). ANother thing is variety is key with nutrition and really important that you don't over do some of the common allergens (soy, Wheat) being the two most common for people. Luckly you don't have to worry about dairy alergies being vegan.
  13. 606 is amzing for no straps. whats yout weight? what's your friend do for a living? manual laber. There are alot of manual laber guys that never totch weight yet they can deadlift a shit load becasue they have function strength. how tall is he?
  14. by the end of 09 Seated Military with 315 Bench over 405 Deadlift 600 Full Squat with 500 5 Min mile 100 reps with 135 on seated military press Heafty goals, but i shoot for the stars
  15. Since i do Deadlifts with overunder grip should i practice the static holds the same way or should i work the other overunder and standard grip as well?
  16. You Swedish folks eat pretty healthy in comparison right? Seems like the Eastern/nortern euro people are beasts when it comes to strength. I've allways wanted to move to Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland
  17. I don't have any expertise, but aside from a genetic disposition it seems like environmental pollution and crap people ingest seems to be at the center of it. While environmental factors are a factor it's a very small compared to proper diet/ exercise/ no drinking/ no drugs(inculding legal drugs/ no smoking. It similiar to the people that are so freaked out about gems and washing there hands and all that yet eat shit diets and wonder why there allways getting colds/ flu's. We'll never be able to control out side things, but what we can do is build a body that has the immune system to handle whatever comes are way.

  19. There was a mainstream major story that said cancer will surpass heart disease as the number one killer in America within a couple years. And your right at about some parts of europe. Many parts of Western europe eat the same kinda crap we eat here just a little better version. Of course many parts of thr planets cancer rates are going up. no surpries there the western infulence is spreading every where. Before we know it the whole world will be eatting GMO foods and other processed crap and every group of people will be a mess
  20. Problem is, people should never go into a relationship when they want to 'change' the person they would be with. It just leads to all kinds of trouble. I'd like to be able to date all kinds of people, but I doubt I could be serious with someone who has such a blatant disregard for the life on this planet... True, but i think it would be easier to change a non vegan health concious person then a Vegan junk food eater. There are alot of omni people that care about animals, but have the out of sight outta mind thing becasue there's a disconnect with where the food comes from. "if slaughter houses had glass walls every one would be veg" people just go to the store or resurant, but don't really think what happens for the food to get there. Then there are shit heads out there that flat out don't care.

  22. NEvermind i read the post wrong. I'd rather date a health concious omni girl then a junk food, smoking drinking vegan girl. Oviously a healthly vegan girl would be best, but i'm just not into not health concious people. I feel like if i was dating a healthy omni girl i can get her to change her diet to a vegan diet
  23. why would that matter if your vegan or not? there's probably alot of omni people that have some of those things off limits
