So, I've been reviewing photos from my last contest, and even from from previous contests and it seems that my arms are smaller than they were a few years ago. For example, here is a photo from 2003: http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/images/new2003/new8.jpg Here is a photo from just a few weeks ago: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c210/VeganBodybuilder/r12.jpg It appears they are not what they once were. In the past I would have had too much pride to ask for advice, but those days are long behind me. I'm just a bodybuilder trying to get better. It could just be the way I'm posing in particular photos, or perhaps I need to go back to the drawing board a…

Hey, we're back to the contests! This is for calves. Give us your best calf pics...from the back, or side would be best but from the back is the best view. Rules like usual: -You have a full week to submit photos and then we'll separate the men and women and open up polls for a week of voting. The winners get featured on our main website and get free t-shirts. -The photos must have been taken within the past 4 weeks (basically within 30 days), so only current photos please. -You don't have to show full body, but please allow us to verify that the photo is you, just as in all the contests. -No editing of the photos is allowed, aside from cropping, but no photosho…

That's right. I am tired of the same old conversations with omnivores, over and over and over. It never changes any minds anyway. So from now on I'm not going to even bother. From now on, being a vegan totally sucks! Omnivore: "Gee, I'd offer you some of this delicious milk chocolate bar, but it's not vegan. It sure must suck to have such limited options." Old me: "That's alright, there are plenty of vegan chocolate bars. I have one at home I'm looking forward to, and I like that I can get the same taste in a much healthier and ethical way." New me: "You're right, there's nothing for me to eat, ever. All the good foods have animal products in them. Being a vegan sucks."…

Denise Turner (SeaSiren) from this forum, won the 2005 Vegan Fitness Model Search. You can check out her winning profile on www.veganbodybuilding.com Here is a bit about her and a photo: My fitness pursuit began several years ago. I wanted to pursue a fit and healthy life and found better ways to feed my body and thus I began to pursue exercise. My pursuits for a healthy diet eventually lead me to a vegetarian lifestyle and finally a vegan lifestyle. I began to enjoy the benefits of healthy vegan foods also including many raw foods as part of my meals. Becoming vegan has changed my life for the better in so many ways, aside from meeting so many people with like di…

If its good enough for your stomach, it should be good enough for your eyes. Make sure your speakers are on because it has narration which makes it more informative. http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=meet_your_meat peace, man, peace.

We measure temperature by wind chill here. (The combination of wind and air temperature makes it feel like X degrees outside) Tonight it's going to hit minus 40 degrees!!!! My eyes were sore from walking from the parking lot this morning. The wind just cuts through your clothing (I've always found that the thighs are most vulnerable..... unless you wear long underwear.) bbbbrrrrrrrrr!

I am sure some of people on this forum are aware of incorrect translation of 'meat' in many verses in New Testament, but just a case, if some of you never read about mistranslation of the word 'meat' in Bible, what I am going to post is new knowledge to some people. Most Christians don't realize mistranalation of 'meat' in the Bible and think that 'meat' means animal flesh but as you start reading part of the article below, you will find out how blind most Christians are about the word of God. Too many Christians justfy their cruel life style (www.meetyourmeat.com) by misinterpreting Bible. <> Gen 29: And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bear…

One of my favorite quotes is one by Martin Niemoeller. We might not be living through the Holocaust, but the same logic still stands. We're a stronger force if we work together, even if we have nothing that seems to connect us. Groups like the North American Hunting Club and the National Rifle Association bicker back and forth with groups like PETA and [insert other animals rights/welfare/liberation group here]. But, if we'd just step back, we'd see that there are lots of things that we all agree on. Granted, I have a fairly utilitarian approach because I've been so influenced by Singer. But, I feel that a lot of the people that oppose hunting (aside from vegans…

As the subject says, so why? I'm generally a positive person and thought people could share their happiness. (something do did, helped someone out, good workout at the gym etc etc) After receiving all the rain/thunder showers we did this past week; I woke up this morning with the hot sun shining down on me during my morning bike ride to work, was great.

I know we have a thread similar to this about goals in 2006, but I wanted to put a general one out there. These don't have to be associated with fitness but just general New Years Resolutions. Do you have any you want to share? I usually don't make specific ones just on January first, I tend to set goals all year round, as most of you do, but there are some that I like to write down and focus on as I start the new year. I'll try to come up with some over the next few days and post them. Feel free to share some of your goals or resolutions for 2006 here! All the best in the New Year! Much Love, Robert

I saw a little bit about his on the news last night but I missed the beginning. For what I could tell this is the story. A man and a woman had sex, the woman got pregnant, she told the man, he said that he was not ready to be a father and could not afford to support a child. The woman decided she wanted to keep the child and after it was born she filled for child support. Now the man is fighting it because he says she know ahead of time that he was not going to be involved and if he were a woman he would have the right to an abortion and men should also have the right to not be forced into parenthood just as much as women. What do you guys think?

I'm not on here as much as I used to be and as I login in the mornings before heading out for the day lately I've been reading a lot about how much Robert Cheeke sucks because of one reason or another. It used to bother me, but I learned a long time ago that "when your actions speak for themselves, don't interrupt." It is so tempting at times to challenge each criticism of my character but it is a waste of time. I know who I am, what I stand for and what impact I've had on the world and I'm OK with who I am at the end of the day. In fact, I'm thrilled to be me. I honestly do consider myself to be one of the top 1% nicest people in the world and live in a way that ref…

even more so than the "Cruz versus Hayek" thread. But Im gonna post it anyway. So here it is: Black or burgundy? Cant make up my mind for what dress I want to wear for New Years tomorrow night and I am polling everybody in my real world and, now, in my virtual world! (yes, it is a girl thing, to all the men that are rolling their eyes). I have narrowed it down to these two choices/colours though. Not really thrilled about the burgundy as a colour but I like the style of it. So feel free to throw in your two cents. I tried setting up an actual poll but I failed. Gee, what a shock. I also got a new digital camera (an awesome surprise) and so I am trying to fig…

Vegan Vacation Summer 2006 I know our original thread got to be pretty long so I wanted to start a New one to remind everyone what we’d like to do this coming summer. I think we’re going to end up going to St. Thomas or St. John Virgin Islands or both, sometime in mid-late July or Early August. We’re still deciding. The following text is something that I came up with many months ago and saved on my computer at work. Vegan Vacation Planning Committee Hello there vegan friends. I am wondering if any of you want to be on the 2006 Vegan Fitness Team Vacation Planning Committee. I will be on it, and I’m looking for a group of others to help with selecting an exac…

Is anyone else getting this error when posting a message: Failed sending email :: PHP :: DEBUG MODE Line : 234 File : emailer.php ---- It still posts, but the error shows up. I never know what's going on with the website, it just does strange things from time to time. Just curious and if it is an issue, I'll look into getting it resolved.
