I just purchased this DVD and i was wondering if anyone knows anything about it and if it's any good? i put it on just to see what it's like and as yet i haven't done the workout. it looks ok from what i've seen. i guess i'm just wondering if this is the best thing to do for a novice like me. it has three stages; beginner, intermediate and advanced. any advice would be appreciated.

I was just wondering how many different kinds of shoes people usually have for different activities. I was using my runners (New Balance) for working out in our home gym (weights and elliptical, no treadmill), but I figured that probably wasn't good for me since that's not what they're made for, plus they are my outside shoes anyway. I went out yesterday and bought some Asics crosstrainers that are supposed to have really good stability and support, and I'll use those in the gym now. I also got a pair of Saucony crosstrainers for all the walking I do during my normal day. Does that sound normal? How do you guys handle your shoe situations?

I'm currently healing my weak points (left foot, right wrist) with stretching and barefoot walking (though I've been into muscle work for a few years, I was retarded about stretching, until my GF healed her nagging shoulder injuries this year using simple stretches - she's a gardener who always gets plenty of exercise, so it was an epiphany to me that stretching is the foundation of exercise, not the other way around - now I feel like I finally have all aspects of health down ). Here are two articles that highlight the fact that shoes by definition get in the way of healthy feet, for evolutionary and biomechanical reasons. I really want to get back to playing tennis …

* Just got a mountain bike and wondered if there are any brands of shoes that are Vegan suitable for wearing on my bike. I have read that some people use skateboard shoes for mountain biking, so any choices used in skateboarding that may do the job too ? Also I was looking into doing some in door rock climbing and wondered if there are any recommendations for footwear. *

today I went skateboarding for my first time on a concrete skatepark. and after a couple years of not skating, I sucked. I could push myself around, but I totally forget how to ollie and do flip tricks. I am gonna skateboard to cross-train for snowboarding, but I feel like such a fool cause even an 8 yr old kid schooled me.

Anyone else here do it? It isn't easy being a 250 lb. 35 year old trying to get back into it again after a decade layoff, but even with all the pain, it sure is fun all over again No jumping down big stuff or handrails in my immediate future again, but just playing around on some mini ramps and re-learning all my old ledge tricks is proving to be a challenge that's making me feel like I'm a kid again

I'm 25 years old. My body type is ectomorph - slim. After I became vegan and stopped clogging the system to much I became lighter by ~25 pounds. My current weight consistently ~125. If somebody went across person who was skinny but improve his physical muscular conditions and staying that way, eating only vegi stuff - no diary, no meat, no sugar - please let me know. I am looking for person to model so I can get same results.

Hey pals & gals, I missed a snowboard fitness class tonight that I really wanted to take. Do any of you have some recommended exercises that specifically work the muscles in the legs, back, and core to enhance snowboarding skills and performance? Please share!

Hi Just wondered if there are any snowboarders here? If so what kind of kit have you got? What style of snowboarding are you doing? Any cool pics of you in action? Besides bodybuilding being a new sport to me, so is snowboarding which I am addicted to and adore...I will be going into my 4th season this Winter. I started on a standard board with soft boots and I am keen to learn alpine snowboarding...I have been doing this 2 months (end of last Winter)...It takes a lot of getting used to with totally different board (side cut etc) and using hardboots (like skiers' boots) but hey it is such good fun... Besides taking up bodybuilding due to some health issues that I…

I been riding 8-9 seasons. I just recently got into handrails. the resorts here are small and shitty and the snow is man-made and icey. I used to do a lot of freestyle and halfpipe. but now Im more into freeriding but since the trails are so short here, it kinda loses its fun, unless riding with someone. I used to dream of becoming a pro snowboarder, but after numerous broken bones and a lack of good conditions/mountains. I've set that aside. anyone else ride??

virtually everyone you talk to thinks that all pro riders are guilty of doping or taking some kind of performance enhancer. These guys seem to be clearly a step ahead of the anti-doping authorities. Is there any hope for this sport?

Are there any soccer players out there who want to discuss training programs and nutrition programs? Or just chat about soccer? I played for 10 years, Topher played for 10 years and I think Big Ben played for 10 years or longer. Funny how we all chose bodybuilding after soccer I met a raw food vegan soccer player today and invited him to join the forum. Maybe he'll see this and post and chat about the world's greatest game with us! -Robert

I'm sick of all the corpse eaters who point out how few sporting successes there are amongst the vegan 'community'. I have a few thoughts about it that might help others in debates and conversations. As long as most sportspeople eat meat and drink milk, it is unlikely that vegans will rise to the top. And yet some do. To get to the top in any sport you need to be dedicated. Many top sportspeople are so dedicated that everything else is of little importance to them. We are bombarded from infancy with lies and propaganda about the benefits of meat and milk and how they are necessary to health. Someone who is desperate for sporting success is unlikely to allow ethic…

I know in the gym it isn't about doing what others can do, it's about doing what you can do. Still, I have a question. I am hoping to get my bodyfat down to a reasonable level to maybe 5-10%. I want to weigh about 180lbs at that percentage. My question is this: How much are you guys in that size range lifting? I would like something to base my progress on so I can get an idea if I am on track for that size and also to have a goal. I am currently 5'8" and 187. After dropping some fat I know I will need to build up. I am interested in bench, squat, etc. Sent from my DROID X2

Hey, my quads are really sore, mostly when I sit down, get up, and climb the stairs. I worked out two days ago, same as I normally do, I stretched before hand, and did everything I normally do. I haven't exercised since, cause I don't want to hurt them more. Any ideas whatss going on, and how to get rid of the pain/soreness?? Thanks, Stacey

Hey Everyone, Total newb here and to the world of Veganism. Looking for some help here. I keep reading that Soy in "large" amounts is bad for men etc etc. Except I don't know how much is "too"much if at all. Can I eat Tofu, Tempeh, vegan ground, etc at every meal? Mostly just to make sure adequate protein intake. Any literature, advice, studies etc would be greatly appreciated! thank you!!!
