Hi all, I originally posted in a different section (Found at) viewtopic.php?f=46&t=35463 Just wanted everyone's opinions. What body type do you think I am? I have always been of the opinion ectomorph 6foot4 (191cm) Roughly 165lb (75kg) Tall, skinny, but carry all my BF in my mid section. I have always been of the opinion that I cannot build muscle, whether its due to my body type or my excess cycling. I have been lifting for 2 weeks straight with no cardio (due to a running injury). I'd like to keep up the experiment just to see what is possible. Chest/tri Back/bi Shoulders/legs Repeat 3 sets of 9x4 exercises per muscle. Lifting heavy enough to fatigue. I am really w…

Hey guys, I didn't know where to put this so I thought I'd try the photos section. I just entered a couple of my pictures into the bodybuilding.com spokesmodel search this year and would love it if you guys could put in a vote (or several) for me! The winners will get to be on the cover of Ironman magazine, as well as work the bb.com booths at the Olympia and the Arnold Classic. So cool! You can vote by going to http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/2011-bodyspace-spokesmodel-search-voting.htm. My screen name is Treesize, and I'm near the bottom since it is alphabetical. Let me know what you guys think of the pics I put up, and thanks for checking it out!! P.S. Anyone can vot…

So I'm kind of new to the vegan lifestlye. I've dabbled in vegetarianism over the years and have decided to get serous. I am also getting married in December and want to get back into shape. (I was once and then i gained almost 60lbs.) Any advice for a newb that needs to get fit and lean permanantly? Especially without going into carbo overload while I'm adjusting. I appreciate any help at all. Thanks!

I encounter some challenges with work, indeed I travel quite a lot for business and unless we have the luck to go to Indian or Asian restaurants it s hard to find good vegan food... I wouldnt even dare to suggest the vegetarian/vegan option (you should see the faces ) I manage to keep my work out routine wherever I go, can easily escape dinner to prepare my delicious vegan dinner in my hotel room or try vegan restaurants in town but lunches almost turns into fasting considering what I order or get on a plate Anyone facing such situations? any suggestions?

I am about 260 pounds and I can't take it anymore. I am a 39 year old male. Married with 3 kids (10,11,13). I want to be healthy and strong for my family and their offspring. I have lots of energy but no motivation. I am an I.T. Manager so I sit in front of a PC all day. I love the idea of being a Vegan but have no idea where to start. Also. I want to loose all this disgusting fat that I am hauling around. Power is everthing in survival so here is your chnce to be in COMPLETE CONTROL! So I bow down and surrender myself to anyone who has the POWER. I need someone to tell me 2 things (for now, baby steps). One... How do I start to become a Vegan? Two... Is the best w…

Hi Guys! I have been vegan for years, but have eaten vegetarian when out occasionally. I lost weight after travelling from boxing and have started muscle building because I want to be as healthy as possible, and hopefully get my muscles on stage next year!!! My problem is that I am feeling quite heavy and fat (I know I'm not fat by the way) Its just when I am building muscle and my pants are getting tighter, I'm feeling horrible and just want to get back to my comfortable 'skinny fat' body. How can I 1. stop the 'muffin top' creeping over my pants and 2. control my eating because I eat sooooo much while I'm training? I have read the vegan nutrition posts and …

i really need help losing my body fat.i have been on the vegan lifestyle for about 5 months now but i still cant see a change.i have tried sticking to 80/10/10 diet but all the time my ratios are usually 89/5/5 or 90/7/3. my workout partner says the reason why i cant lose any of the weight is because of not enough protein but im still gaing muscle so it cant be that. but i also know it has to be something with my diet so if you can make some recommendations to change it to lose body fat i would greatly appreciate it info: im only 4'9/18yrs old, female .but i weigh 116 i would like to get down to 98 or 94 and i usually workout 4-5 days for two hours.1hr and 40 min on weigh…

Even tho I don't post here that often nowadays, I'm still hitting the gym as often as ever. As it's more about lifestyle and just physical activeness for me, I haven't gained that much over the past couple of years. Then again I was actually bit surprised when I took the last picture few days ago, as I actually do see some changes. What do comrades think? http://cbob.kapsi.fi/pics/prog.jpg

My girlfriend was kind enough to take progress pictures of me last night The before pictures are from 2 months ago, really just when I started exercising again (16th April 2009)...I must've been just over 145lbs I think. The progress pictures on the right are from yesterday (18th June 2009). 156lbs I'm only 2 weeks into the Stronglifts 5x5 Beginner programme (Training log here - http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=18133), a few weeks before this I was doing mainly compound and bodyweight exercises (most of which are in stronglifts). The first 4 weeks I didn't have a clue what I was doing...started off with random bodyweight exercises...…

Okay, so, let's play a game of catch-up real quick so that I can start showing progress moving forward! Please reply to this thread if the images aren't loading, they're hosted on my home server right now, but I'll move them somewhere else if that isn't sufficient! http://frodux.org/VBB/plus40.jpg This is from a few years ago before I lost 40 lbs by cooking at home (instead of eating McDonalds daily. Makes me sick to imagine that I ever did that. http://frodux.org/VBB/12-31.jpg This is from my second week of working out again (12/31). Starting to show some definition and regaining lost muscle. http://frodux.org/VBB/1-14.jpg This is from my fourth week of working out a…

Hi, im new to the forums, and wanted to post photos of where i am at now, and my progress. Ive been vegan for 8 years and vegetarian for 7 years before that. Im 28 and 6 foot 4 inches tall. Today i am 213 lbs. Over the years, (especially in University) i have been going back and forth with working out. I would get busy with exams, or get sick and i would stop working out for a few months. I then would get back into it for a few months, and then id stop. Now, ive decided to get more serious, and have been going to the gym 5-6 days a week (alternating cardio one day, strength training the other day). Ive been at it since the beginning of the year, and want to keep goin…

Brother really convinced me about going vegetarian and slowly to vegan about 5 months ago. I decided it was also a time to get serious with bodybuilding as well, and I heard Robert Cheeke talk in Cleveland. I go to Ohio State and plan on lifting every day, I will probably update at the end of the quarter. Shout out to Ohioans! http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2057/25/32/705425780/n705425780_2503573_833.jpg Here's my before picture, yeah i ate meat before, obviously didnt help me put on any weight... I'd like to start a thread to share with each one of you my progress. I am focusing getting strong and fast, bulking up muscle losing fat. I start with bulking up at home with a set of dumbells and a bench press 4 days a week, and I'm trying to focus on doing cardio at least 4 days a week. March 17th 2010 -Vegan for 2 months -5.6" tall -157 pounds When i was a kid, i used to do a lot of sport, but i changed my lifestyle when I was 13, and I became fat. now I'm sixteen, and I want to get rid of that fat and become stronger than I've ever been. I have strong quads (i used to do a lot of mountain bike) and the rest of my body is actually weak, plus it's covered …
