  1. Haha, i should post pics of my micro-fridge....... My microfridge is usually stuffed to the hilt with greens. They aren't lying, they really are "micro"fridges.
  2. Welcome! If you take the advice of some of the athletes here, you will certainly bulk-up a bit. Good lifting to you.
  3. I just realized how long this thread is... You are well loved, Potter.
  4. Capricorn. I don't know any of my people...
  5. Luckily for me I don't need calorie dense foods so much because I can down pounds of beans at a time if need be . But if you are having trouble cramming enough calories in your face, Potter's suggestions are great. If you love fruit and must eat a fair amount of it, though, bananas are supposed to be one of the better bulking fruits. Also avocados are one of the healthiest sources of fat and for many it is easy to eat a lot of them.
  6. Welcome to the forum! I with I lived in Portland, somehow it seems more vegan-friendly than B.F.E. Illinois.
  7. Welcome back! I remember you from when I did my first few posts.
  8. Wow, nice job everyone! Bryce gets my vote, but you all did wonderfully. This has my psyched for the current contest, which I am participating in. I plan on being shredded by July (I think that is the date...).
  9. Well, I will make almond flour and then have at it with a mortar and pestle! It will be a lot of work but well worth it. I love making all the stuff I possibly can at home; it just gives me a good feeling. Now if I could only grow my own almonds... Around here almond butter goes for almost double the price. Almonds at my coop are eight-something a pound and almond butter is something more like thirteen. So I guess not almost double, but a fair shake more.
  10. I have been searching high and low for an alright price on yellow pea protein and the only decent deal I have found is from a bulk supplements website based out of the U.K. I am hoping to find some that is more along the lines of the price of soy protein and is preferably from the U.S. I know I won't find any quite as cheap, as yellow pea isn't as common as soy protein, but I want to find something comparable.
  11. Hm, yeah, I probably need to reevaluate what I consider to be a lot of caffeine. I used to live off of coffee and energy drinks, so I am probably not the best person to talk to about caffeine amount. I shouldn't say I have given up tea, because I still drink rooibos; though, there is no caffeine in it.
  12. Yeah, I do try to avoid eating too much almond butter as it is expensive. I bought a good blender so I am planning on making some homemade stuff for about half price.
  13. 33 pounds a year, jeez, Americans need to get to eating more bananas!
  14. He doesn't know what he is missing out on; my friends and I LIVE for making asses out of ourselves in stores and their parking lots. We do live in a small town in middle America, though...
  15. That is really cool. I wonder if that meeting will help with your placing in the sexiest vegan contest =P.
  16. I want to ride my bike so badly after seeing these, but the windchill is negative six right now, so that is mostly out. Great pictures.
  17. I've done it with raw almond butter, but the banana chips were commercial and likely not raw. It was delicious and I actually prefer almond butter coupled with bananas over peanut butter; though I am an almond butter junkie.
  18. Yes, that looks very yummy. One great thing about being vegan is I can't eat most of the things people prepare in my family. If I was in your family, I would definitely pack on some pounds.
  19. Welcome! Canada is awesome, I can't wait to go there again sometime.
  20. One caffeine source that I don't think I am ever going to give up is raw cacao. I have given up tea, soda and coffee, but I don't see any reason to worry about the caffeine in cacao, as there isn't that much anyway and the health benefits are amazing. Here is a link on potassium: http://www.unhinderedliving.com/potassium.html
  21. Speaking of bananas, peanut butter and chocolate, the combination of the three makes one of the yummiest smoothies in my book. Any sort of nut or seed butter in there, really.
  22. I love upright rows, but I have heard and seen many variations on the range of motion. Right now, I am starting with my elbows slightly bent, the bar down below my waist and raising it about level with my colar bones. Does that sound like a proper range of motion? I have heard going too far up can be hard on joints.
  23. Why is PETA taunting by saying that our applications were received when Potter has already won? They are cruel people. All the best to everyone trying to pick up Potter's scraps. I just thought of something, did you also win the female category because the male category was too small to contain your excessive sexiness Potter?
