  1. Wow, how fun! What a great company to do such a thing! Glad you got inspired today, Doug!
  2. Nice! I hope to have that type of partnership someday, too! But, in the meantime, I'm happy for YOU!
  3. Welcome to the forum, Ed, and I wish you the very best of luck (that's the wrong word, as "luck" has nothing to do with it, but you know what I mean) with accomplishing these goals! I'm curious as to why you chose Trader Joe's as your only store to shop at? Anyway, it was awesome meeting you in PDX a couple of months ago (with RC), and congratulations on your many successes! Keep showin' that Vegan is the way to be!
  4. Oh, really? I had no idea y'all are Brits! That's awesome!
  5. Less than a year away from ya, handsome, and lovin' the serene 40's. How awesome is it to be able to combine decades of wisdom with a retained sense of childlike enthusiasm and curiosity? Come on in, merman, the water's fine. Baby Herc Baby Herc, I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this post!!!!!!!

    Intro

Welcome, cdnfl! Although you made a point to say you're veg*n for ethical reasons, rather than health reasons, you seem to be pretty healthful nonetheless! Good for you! I know you said you avoid most processed foods, but if you felt like "splurging", there are a number of good and tasty dairy-alternatives available (cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, yogurt, etc.). Also, I just this past week learned of an awesome way to make vegan nacho "cheese" out of cashews and nutritional yeast. Yummmm!!! Anyway, I guess the key is to be patient and just do plenty of research (ie: Google searches!) to find new ideas. Also, just give your tastebuds/mind time to readjust. There are lots of ways to veganize your family's favorite meals! Best of luck to you!
  7. Wouldn't that be like putting the wrong type of fuel in your car?
  8. Welcome back, Dan-o! I'm just curious as to what prompted your return?
  9. Welcome aboard, fembreak! Glad to have you here. Steal away!
  10. Hi z0rzz! Welcome to the forum! I think it's awesome that you've decided to go vegan, if your friend/trainer doesn't. Haha! Seriously, you'll find tons of support here, along with lots of proof that you don't need animal products to be strong and healthy. Not that you didn't already know that, but it's nice to be able to point to specific photos and articles to show others. Anyhow, all the best to you!
  11. Ciao Edoardo! Benvenuto e piacere!
  12. Awww, that's so kind of you, Doug! And congratulations to you for having 800-1000 new followers every month! That's incredible, actually! I'm gonna have to go check out your website again! Thanks for supporting Robert & Vegan Bodybuilding!
  13. Gotta love that Arizona heat, hey? How long have you lived there in the desert? Good job on your first post-marathon run! Bet it felt great!
  14. Hey there, Lisa! Sorry to hear about your husband's issues... How is he doing now? You are Super Woman, aren't you? Wow, you're amazing with all that you do.
  15. How fun! What a lovely thing to do together with your husband!
  16. Well, I hope you had a fun time this weekend, nonetheless!
  17. "...if you ever need someone to have a yarn to." I've never heard that expression before, but I like it. It's cute. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's had a rough go at it this past month or so. I mean, I'm sorry that you've gotten off track in your training, but it sure does make it easier to know there are other people out there going dealing with similar issues and lack of motivation. Thank you for being so open and honest with your feelings and situation, Doug. It really does make a big difference to others (such as me).
  18. Good for you, girl! What an admirable statement! Keep up the positive attitude and great work!
  19. Hang in there, Sara! I really admire you for keeping up with it!
  20. Foodswings! Yay! I was there last year during my birthday week celebration, and while it was very tasty, it definitely does not qualify as health food! Hahaha! Anyhoo, welcome aboard, Paul! Great to have you here!
  21. Hi Craig! Welcome to the forum! It's so great to have you here. It's interesting that you feel "sick of eating animal products." Is going vegan something you've been thinking about for a while now and just thought you couldn't do it while bodybuilding? Or is it something that just struck you suddenly? I'm just curious as to what prompted the change (which I think is AWESOME, by the way! ). So... how did Days 1 & 2 go for you? Glad to have you here, as I'm sure you'll be able to provide some great feedback and advice for lots of people who are newer to bodybuilding/fitness, and you can tons of great advice from people who have more experience with a vegan/plant-based diet! Welcome aboard, Craig!
  22. Would you go to a 'peaceful parenting' site and discuss how you spank your own children and wash out their mouths with soap when they swear? And if you did, would you really expect a favorable response? Feel free to ask questions to satisfy your curiousity here, but I would hope that in your discussions you are respectful of the values on this vegan forum. That's a really interesting and insightful comparison, stcalico. Thanks for making it, as it really highlights the point well, makes sense, and got me thinking.
  23. Raspberry truffle brownies????? Um, yes please! Do share the recipe!
  24. Wow, that's fantastic! Keep up the stellar work! Those tacos sound delicious! I've never sauteed tempeh in anything but a little soy sauce, but I really love the way the cumin and chili powder sound! With beans and tomatos... YUMM!!!! I'm going to have to remember this, for sure! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Your comment about the nutritional yeast just made me literally laugh out loud!
  25. I think this is so exciting! It's awesome when people find something they're passionate about and just go for it! Kudos to you!
